Hi, just to say, this thread REALLY helped me out with my Mac SE/30 which had exactly the same symtoms. I read through this article and got out my scope and had EXACTLY the same readouts as @djc6 so immediately the UG8 was top of my list to swap out. I've never done SMD soldering or removal...
