It is, with only two Nubus slots - but it has fast graphics and ethernet built in. The 68MB limit is a bit less than other contemporary prosumer machines, but plenty enough.
I had an Etherlink III in my 1400c with hacked extension under Mac OS 8.6. While it worked, it wasn’t very reliable and the whole bomb on first install thing is unsettling to say the least.
I now use a Kingston KNE-PC2T with official Mac drivers and it works really well.

Yes, from my limited testing, command-control-power does work with an iMac keyboard. Not sure if it works in all situations e.g. if the Mac is hard locked.

I don’t much like the ADK, but it was the first one we owned back in ‘98 so there is some nostalgia for it.
What I’ve noticed is that there is massive variation in quality between different batches, some having awful ‘spongy’ keyswitches and others being quite nice and responsive.
There’s a question for @joevt I guess. In my mind it sounds plausible. You can probably find out the version of the ATI firmware (ndrv?) contained in the ROM using Hex Fiend.
Agree about the Duo. What about the Quadra 700 instead of the 950? The 950 is huge and they’re the same architecture. 800 is cool but the case is annoying and you’ve already got the 8500.
