aargh. Brought the MDD to check it out. It is a MDD 867 dual cpu not a 1ghz dual cpu.

It is a G4 MDD 1ghz Dual cpu with no install cds/dvds. Maybe I should pass. Do linux distributions support this model?

Got a PB145b with a battery charger, spare battery and a HDI SCSI/DOCK adapter. The powerbook works perfect for 4-5 minutes then quits. 4mb ram with 80mb hd.

Thanks for your input. You also answered another concern about USB joysticks. Looks like the G4 Quicksilver will be put into service. I do not have any large ide drives so two 33.6 GB 10,000 rpm SCSI drives. Do Mac SCSI cards boot like the PC ones?
