    Am i supposed to set the scsi2 sd to something for it to boot properly? it wont save the settings in the scsi2 sd tools on my macbook.

    i mean i had a 180 that had a tunnel screen and one that was completely fried so the activematrix screens that tunnel make these useless in my opinion

    mac iici unfixable?

    i have some other ram from a iisi that wouldn't work. i dont have any experience with soldering, i have a steady hand but dont have a idea about circuit boards. and work a lot so I think it would go to a pro. since it at least turns on should i cover the copper traces with tape or soak the board...

    yah that happened to me when i was little. it probably is the capacitors inside the performa or the ram. just take some pics of the inside of the computer mabie somebody knows.

    well it's not even turning on anymore so i guess sending the computer off to get recapped may just get it to turn back on and nothing else... getting another motherboard for thisis going to be expensive. any suggestions?

    do you think its still fixable? i just turned it on it  does spin the hard drive, the light turns on and the screen output is just white. one of the ram cards were so corroded i had to throw it out.  its crazy this thing turns on. can bare traces be fixed? well after 5 minutes its dead. wow...

    so this iici turns on but has no sound and had a battery leak. i cleaned off some of it and heres is the pictures. is it fixable at this point? some of the green that goes over the traces came off when cleaning. i hope that wont desrroy it. Thanks

    PowerBook 100 series screen vignetting

    this is common on active matrix screens and nothing you can do about it except get a new screen. there's posts on here about putting it in the oven but i never did it.

    I got a leftover picture from that board. I gave up and tossed the board. Hope this helps if it dont theres a post on here about the types of caps for it

    Opening Powerbook adapter

    Well i just got it open! Used my hands and a screwdriver like suggested above. Wow its leaking so bad it smells horrible and its literally a pool of cap goo! Thanks for the suggestions!

    It probably wont work. I tried it didnt work but theres a pop when it starts up.

    How did you get the  goo off it? I have one that i put black tape on the rubber bumpers and all it does is spin. Wont even work!

    Im dealing with same thing. Same screen and no sound. No broken traces. Mabie the leaking capacitors short out the chips or something?

    I tried all that its definetely messed up. No broken traces and the board cant be any cleaner.  The only thing i can think is it had really bad leakage before the previous owner recapped it and shorted out the rom chips or something. I dont want to keep spending money on this thing lol. The...
