Where to find an older version of StuffIt

you always could go to http://main.system7today.com/updates.html and grab stuffit 5.5, but they don't have dropstuff with expander enhancer 5.5 which adds extra features for stuffit expander.

    B/W G3 ZIF upgrade

i think its a bit more then just $100 if you dont have one, you would also need to find the zif carrier card before you could use that cpu upgrade. if you have the zif carrier card then jump on it cause it would make a noticeable performance boost.

    B/W G3 ZIF upgrade

for like $200 (not including shipping) you can find and buy a Digital Audio G4, Quicksilver G4, or even a Mirror drive door G4, and all 3 will outrun that B&W with the G3 1ghz or G4 1ghz upgrade. mainly cause of its slower system bus and its video being on a PCI bus, if i was you i would...

    Dell Latitude CPi

A PII might be pushing it for XP depending on the speed, if its at least 333mhz or above then it should run it to be usable.

No Text, or showing up as white!

thats what i was going to say, if there is bad or multiple fonts this is one of the many issues you will see. a easy way to correct it is to backup and reinstall, one reason i say this is cause you don't really know the extent of damage there is and would cure just about everything to start...

    x486emulation

it would be nice to find a emulator that would at least be able to use the video card that was in the Mac like VPC did with 3dfx cards back in the day, and use it as such instead of emulating a generic video card like VPC does now (ewww S3 virge DX)

if you have the game in original form nothing says you cant have a copy of it, if you don't have the game in original form then that is where it gets into a gray area. emulators are not illegal, its more the games that is the questionable matter, but it depends what the situation is. its...

    Battery charger

it should see that its not a battery pack (or rechargeable AA's) and is non rechargeable AA battery's and not attempt to charge it, but i am not for sure on that model. i know that on a MP 2100 it wont attempt to charge battery's using the AA battery tray, it has to be a battery pack before it...

    AirPort/AirPort Extreme

i was mainly talking about the 386 and 486 class of computers. i know about the timing on the older ones like the 8086 and 8088 era and some 286 class ones (more of a compatibility mode then a turbo mode, but did the same thing). my wyse 286 had that funtion. the 386 and 486 class computers was...

    AirPort/AirPort Extreme

well the turbo button on those did serve a purpose, it made the computer run at its top speed (mhz) but is what the computer was normally capable of in the first place. but was just a way to sell you a computer making the buyer think it was something special. those just cut the speed in half (...

Black screen on Power Mac g4

yep, it uses the standard vga connector, it will work on just about any Mac with that connector. the ones you got to watch out about really is the ADC and DVI monitors (more so the ADC then the dvi)

there was much more involved in mti_jake being banned, and there could not be a better reason for being banned then what he was banned for.

Black screen on Power Mac g4

the Digital Audio comes in both single and dual CPU configs, they mainly can be spotted from their CPU speed, 466mhz, 533mhz, 667mhz, 733mhz CPU's some of them had dual CPU configs running the same speed as the single counterparts. really the MDD and mini only benefitted from having a 33mhz...
