Dual booting OS9 and OSX on eMac but I'm a Winbaby

One simple answer for the controller: get a Gravis GamePad Pro. Great for the era of machine. Tons on eBay. If I were you, I'd stick with the 1 GHz if you really want to run OS 9 natively. 1.25 isn't going to get you much more.

Help me find a realistic solution to my problem

So I’ll give you a little more background: it’s running 10.14 I believe, kept that way as it was the last system to allow AFP shares. The RAID is connected via TB and appears as just another HD. The drive needs to be shared via the Mac Mini, as it is used to file sharing between modern Macs, as...

Help me find a realistic solution to my problem

Somewhat branching from my "Don't know Jack" about Pi3 thread, I now have gotten at least on piece of the puzzle down: I have used the Pi with MacIPRPi to successfully set up CUPS to share my laser printer. Works very well, and that was at least 1/2 of the puzzle. The other half is: - Figuring...

New application for Mac OS 8-9!

Just one question: No way for this to support 7.x? I keep 7.6 on my PT Pro because there are some games that run better under it than 8 or 9.

New application for Mac OS 8-9!

This is…absolutely one of the greatest things I’ve seen in years. My kids constantly ask me why a game won’t work (e.g. screen isn’t set for 256 colors, everything is “small” because the resolution isn’t 640x480), so this is absolutely amazing! Hopefully this will work on my PT Pro with G3 card!

Is this too much $ and work for a noob.

True, but they still don’t sound the same as Sony Mac 1.4 MB drives of the non-original (auto inject) design.

It’s just the head drive motor specific to them. They sound the same out of the case.

Are there any 1000 Base-T PCI cards for a PT Pro?

I purchased an Apple Fast Ethernet capped off eBay for $27…so we will see how this goes…

Sometimes the floppies are part of the charm. I never like to play Dark Castle/BDC except from floppies.

+1 on this, I was going to say I’d make a floppy for you, too. As Torbar said, there are some fine options there to load disk images.

Which sort? If it’s a beige one with floppy drive, you’re fine.

One last issue: do you have other Macs that you can make 800k disks with? Plus won’t read 1.4 MBs.

It truly baffles me as to why the keyboards and mice for these things disappear.

I like em! Not as sun tanned, though.

Are there any 1000 Base-T PCI cards for a PT Pro?

Ok, guess I am sort of an idiot. It is just 10 Base-T....so I need a 100 Base-T card that will work.
