Kind of OT, but what system versions do you have? If both of your machines are running System 6 or less, there's no way for you to host files on either unless you have dedicated server software. System 7 and up had built-in file hosting.

There's the DaynPort PC card option as well: I have one of those. In fact, if you could find the appropriate dongle, I also have a Global Village PowerPort Platinum Pro that has two ports on it (one for ethernet, one for a modem). It didn't come with the dongles, but if you could find one...

Yes, I don’t know how MUCH you are experiencing, but with CRTs correctly set so cutoff is right before any lines appear in the tube at maximum brightness, there’s always a somewhat “larger” image than when brightness is at the lowest before the image totally disappears.

Yes. The above also is normal: the screen has ALWAYS bulged a bit when the brightness is turned all the way up.
