    Apple Silentype print head

Still looking, but some fun facts for everyone : Trendcom made two printers at some point a 40 characters one (Trendcom 100) and the bigger 80 characters (Trencom 200) Both can be used with the Apple II apparently. The Trendcom 200 was rebranded by Apple ( cooling fins were removed because...

    Classic II EGRET question

Maybe not, the best option is to remove the Egret from the board, clean the area, put it back and see if something has changed. The Egret is surrounded by several caps, most of them leaking all other it, so you are probably going to find juice under the chip. Pin 3 is connected to one of the...

Hi, I have been looking for this cute printer for many years. Managed to buy one for a fair amount but unfortunately, probably in the transport, the printer head managed to be broken in the process. Was not able to make a repair the part is pretty fragile. The head was sold separetely at...

You can make your own keeping both connectors from the old one, the cable itself is pretty standard.

Apple IIe: what cards to choose

Not really, fairly usable in any IIe if we are talking about speed.

I got my #MARCHintosh off to a good start this week!

Pretty good deal in the end. I use side cutters to get rid of the old caps, leaving only the two legs still soldered to the board, then use solder wick to remove each leg safely.

Apple Color Display M1212 - No picture after recap

I can see something strange near RV33, in the bottom of the board, probably a ripped solder joint (solder tip is missing, you can see the board underneath) (new cap fitted ?) and maybe a broken solder as well.

    MacPlus Board Revisions 820-0174 A-D

The only thing i can think of are Roms, they are several available, so maybe the revisions are following Roms. Probably also some changes in the Logic Board design, but should be pretty light.

Apple IIe: what cards to choose

Probably both Ram cards are overkill, the mouse card, well, don’t use it too much myself. Both serial cards, I will keep the SSC only.

    Macintosh 128 Error

No, the fault code is clear, memory issue. This is a common problem on the 128/512 line. The voltage is better tested at the rear floppy port. The red wire is neg 12 (- 12 volts) and if removed from the board, probably will no be accurate.

    Macintosh 128 Error

Hi, if you are not comfortable with a soldering iron,, you will probably not be able to do much, chips are soldered to the board and repairs are not for a beginner, you can damage the board in the process. first digits are for the main issue, the others for location, but several are probably...
