    I wonder with that replacement of the rubber, does the thickness of the tape actually make a noticable difference in the behaviour of the parking position of the reader head? I could imagine that a too thick tape could prevent the head of making a perfect angle?

    maybe they planned and produced a different location for the PRAM battery mid-production and then abondoned that idea. the most telling detail would be indeed where the cable of the second one went to.

    necrobump..:cool: I'm interested to know what software there was for a little G3 overclocking.. found some old postings about Pismos or iMac G3's but not specific software . Maybe something from PowerLogic? and iCook was for newer ones and CPU Speed Adjustment Utility for iBook G3 (750FX)
