Panel arrived. Pics of old panel connector and new panel connector both exactly the same. Screen shot of new panerl really pleased. @mac27 seriously bad luck on your part I hope you are seeking a refund from the seller.
BTW Does anyone have an orange Apple for the clamshell?, the grey just...
Just wondering isn't it easier and cheaper to recap the original board in these? I've just done three and all worked perfectly after replacing the caps
Good luck with it. Unfortunately I ordered one of these panels a couple of days ago So I'm hoping you sort it out before I attempt to change mine. Cheers
It sounds like the analogue board is dead from what you have described. Currently have one SE DV with same problem and have replaced the analogue board wit SE 600 mhz one as couldn't find a 700 mhz board
I had a pb100 that was repaired by an Apple repairer a long time ago and they used a coloured silicon in the holes. I discovered this many years later when working on the pb. The silicon had set and looked like the original covers.
I'd send it back to Will. Have you tried the original ROM sim? Did you wash in isopropyl after ultrasonic and leave it a couple of days to ensure it was fully dry? Check what pin 7 and 8 on the 68882 do, quiet likely shorting would affect it and other chips
