    AE TW2340 (TW1340) Accelerators - Maximum RAM

Mine has a jumper for 4MB and 16MB, after adding the full processor I could access the full 16MB with compact virtual. It came with 4MB and the EC CPU

    AE TW2340 (TW1340) Accelerators - Maximum RAM

For support for 16MB without the MMU it could be as a ramdisk?

    AE TW2340 (TW1340) Accelerators - Maximum RAM

I was able to use compact virtual after I swapped the CPU on my Mobius board.

    AE TW2340 (TW1340) Accelerators - Maximum RAM

There are some accelerators with EC030 CPUs that could support 16MB if you swap out the CPU for the full version.

Anyone have a copy of "AppleTalk Phase 2 Protocol Specification" (C0144LL/A)?

Too bad, if I find anything else phase 2 relevant as I go through reference CDs I will let you know

Anyone have a copy of "AppleTalk Phase 2 Protocol Specification" (C0144LL/A)?

I assume you took a look at the phase 2 training material on the AppleTalk for Programmers CD? You need to install Macromedia Director to view it (SN on the installation disk image). There is also the Apple LAN Literacy Course

Picked up a few macs, don't know where to start

I would be checking the LCs to see if any have an Apple IIe card. Especially if they came from a school

Anyone have a copy of "AppleTalk Phase 2 Protocol Specification" (C0144LL/A)?

Yeah, I saw you have the APF 2.1 spec document on your site, but I haven't seen the C0144LL/A document yet. I keep hoping it turns up on one of the reference CDs.

Anyone have a copy of "AppleTalk Phase 2 Protocol Specification" (C0144LL/A)?

@NJRoadfan did you ever find this? I found some more information on the CDSN Autumn 92 CD in the Seminars folder under both AppleTlk Fundamentals and Lan Minds. Still need to find the program for Creator Type = PANT, File Type = PNTG. Google says a program called FullPaint, but I can only...

    Virtual modem

True, I was more concerned about the Macintosh being a point of entry in to the rest of the network

    Virtual modem

Risk is probably low, I doubt many of the modern automated attack programs would even know what to do with a classic mac if they came across one

So you just used port forwarding? I had cyber security concerns with doing that, but hadn't looked in to it much yet.

Quadra 950 — Maximum bootable partition offset

I've never seen anything documented about an offset limit...what I gave noticed is issues with too many partitions (more than 12). When you say, "before that there are some A/UX partitions", how many do you mean? There may also be a limit we don't know about, we a blowing well past the...

    Virtual modem

I assumed a VPN connection between networks at the hardware level so the two macs on the two networks could see each other via TCP/IP with AppleTalk over TCP/IP running on top of that. Another option could be using Basilisk II running on a modern system as a bridge. Modern system connects to...

    Virtual modem

The games don't need to be TCP/IP aware, I was referring to using the AppleTalk/IP Wide Area Extension so the OS deals with the AppleTalk tunnel over TCP/IP. After that is setup the games should be able to connect over AppleTalk as if they are on the same Local talk network The AppleTalk/IP...

    Virtual modem

Do you have to emulate a modem connection for the games? If you can get a VPN connection going between the two networks so that the two Macintosh systems can see each other via a TCP/IP connection, you should be able to setup AppleTalk over TCP/IP between the two. I would assume most Macintosh...

    Virtual modem

Good memory. I used a null modem cable to link an SE to my windows PC. But it sounds like @opualuan wants to bridge across the Internet. Unless there is some way for both to connect to the same modern system and ARA server could link the two into one network...
