Even if so, Performer's timings likely won't support CPU at 32Mhz. @Bolle tested for me when we were cloning my Performer/Plus. I had the same crazy notion, but for the SE. It has the Slot Manager required 16Mhz reference clock on its PDS. Plan was to run that thru the stock GAL7 to get up to...
Thanks for the quick input, guys!
No need for acceleration doing line art in Illustrator under OS9, just looking to get as many pixels as I can squeeze out of the MDD. I can wait for redraws in GraphicConverter as well.
What's the max resolution that absurd ADC port supports? Can't find an...
Setting up a 4-way HDMI KVM Switch. So I need a decent card that will do at least 1440p and 1920x1200, preferably in the digital output realm. DVI to HDMI cables I have on hand for the latter. No luck finding ADC to HDMI cable or adapter, only ADC to DVI with its severe limitations so no go for...
Nice! Love the 2300cTB variants, trackballs rule! Apple shipped gawdawful trackpads until the G3 series.
edit: everyone else shipped same in that period, not just Apple. ;)
Interesting hack! Likely no need for this one though, it should have all the same I/O hookups as a VCR in the previous model. Forgot to look when I was out there on Tuesday, hopefully it will be gone next time I hit that thrift. ;)
Yep, that's my fallback notion too.
Wondering if a TV tube with a neck board like that could be converted to something cool for computer display. If not, looks easy enough to use in a miniaturized, unitized, printed AIO Monitor/Apple II game console? 5.5" CRT would be useful with period...
Memorex MKS8590
https://www.generalmanual.com/Players/Memorex-MKS8590-Karaoke-Home-System.htm#gsc.tab=0
Was thinking it hard to imagine it not at least 640x480 and VGA Compatible, but at closer look, it seems to be a TV Tube?
Excising display's guts from the mess in that thing in a useful...
Problem's not with pivot detection, FPD doesn't pivot. Its scan lines are 90 degrees off from LCD scan lines so it's letterboxed badly on something like a 1280x1024 Panel. A single Full Page in the middle of a Two Page Display.
Played with this a bit today, plenty of board real estate available...
Very curious about the exact configuration you used to get this result on your LCD:
Card?
Cable?
Driver?
System?
LCD model?
Firming up that rotated output on a rotated LCD from the FPD/SE card is the dream.
Vaguely wondering if Radius might have rotated the raster output of the cards when...
Been mulling this over whilst searching connectors to replace the OEM interconnect on Radius' Accelerators and Magic Bus Card:
Original notion was to to append the Magic Bus PDS extension to the Performer, but you've put a bug in my ear that might do an end run?
Once the "Classic Socket" is...
You said you're only running 9.2 on your machines? ISTR there being no baseline support for multiple processors under OS9. Very low confidence recollection: some apps were multi-threaded for use with dual processors under OS9, maybe Photoshop or some such?
IOW, will a multiprocessor upgrade do...
Nice! Never seen one before, but there may be a very good reason why. The mere thought of havinga lever that long hanging off one of my 'Books give me the willies. Looks like a SCSI connector pry bar to me.
Yep, what you said:
I was thinking 1024x768 which would fit the 640x870 resolution well at 1:1 when rotated, with crop bars (77 pixels on each side and 64 pixels top and bottom) without scaling and cover up the crop bars with a bezel.
Worded it badly, didn't mean to say you'd suggested a...
AHA! Now we've climbed into the stratosphere above my head! ;)
At first I was hoping a takeoff on the TTL version of VGAtoHDMI might be hooked up to the cable headers on my FPD/SE.
https://texelec.com/product/rgbtohdmi-ttl/
Thinking was that a 1bit batch of Portrait pixels wouldn't overtax...
Figuring a dedicated thread here might be the way to go. Hoping you Raspberry Pi boffins will join into the fray. ;)
Subject's a spinoff from attempts at cloning Radius FPD Cards, but useful in supporting existing cards for which there is no acceptable method of displaying the output at...
Not sure at all, still waking up, but ISTR RocketShare requiring more than the 8MB of RocketWare?
edit: dug out the manual, minimum requirement for RocketShare is only 8MB on the Rocket/4MB for host.
