It does not. The IIcx does not have onboard video, so there's no onboard video performance to decrease. Also, if memory serves (pun intended), the logic for the IIcx memory banks are the same as on the SE/30 and the IIx, and the inverse of the IIci.

This is my suspicion. They do look like modern SIMMs. I do believe there's a restriction where the larger capacity SIMMs have to be in Bank A. But I'm not certain.

My 601 card runs at 66MHz, and I am not having heat problems. I have it installed in a Q650, but I'd think that it'd give off similar heat regardless? That said, I can feel radiant heat off the heat sink, and I imagine that if I populated the ADJACENT NuBus slot, that might be a problem.

I suspect the reason its minimum spec is the IIci has less to do with the hardware and more to do with the software. I'm speculating here, but perhaps the bundled software required a 32-bit clean Mac, for example?
