Pull the ROM SIMM and clean the contacts. That was a common problem with IIfx's.

I'm sure I still have both my original IIci manuals and install disks. the only problem I have is that they are in storage at the moment, so finding the correct box is literally like finding a needle in a haystack. It may be on one of the install disks found here...
