I found a solution to this issue. Locally I was able to get a set of original Harmon/Karon Sounsticks USB! Cost me $70 but they are next to impossible to find! Great sound too! Now i have the whole set for display once we move.

The one thing missing is the USB headphone adapter. Can anyone suggest an alternative? I would love to use some ball speakers since they match, but without the proper adapter its not an option at this point. Also, looking for soundsticks and sub :)

You could get OS X to work on the 8500 but it will take a lot of patience to accomplish. Personally I think they are great OS7-9 units for old gaming (even Diablo II works on them...barely).
