Thanks. I read on this board somewhere that a plus never ever needs recapping. Is that true?

Today I saw a dead Mac Plus ED. It shows no picture and it just boings repeatedly. Any ideas? Thanks.

The 5200 is the Mac that made me abandon the Apple brand for at least 10 years or so. It was horribly slow for my work and the faster machines were too expensive. And than the iMac came out. But I already switched to Windows.

I'm confused. Do you "pci mac issue" in a sense that a TAM is a pci Mac. Or in the sense that the MaxPowr upgrade is a pci card? It's a L2 cache card isn't it?

The 6500 is the same.

I downloaded the drivers via archive.org from the newertech site.

Too bad. G3 upgrades are becoming rare these days...

It sure does make you wonder of it would work with any other version of MacOs. Maybe some flavour of 8 or 7 even...

There was a file called 2.05 and there was a file called  2.05J. I have the J-version but I no longer have a TAM so I can't check it. Could that file be of any use to you? Maybe it is an update?

Are you sure? People always claim they have a complete set but in my experience almost everyone has lost some bits and pieces. :)

The guy with all the parts in The Netherlands is on this site: http://www.xs4trade.net/index.php?cPath=1_5_22. I refurbished 2 TAM's in my time. I've got a lot of software and manuals, did a lot of research but I always worked on TAM's that worked. What you're doing is a whole different ball...
