I can think of two other things to try but blocked: (1) Try old driver from 1989/90 with System 6.   Where to download? (2) There are some jumpers on the pivot board.  What are they for?  Can they be experimented safely? Perhaps some of u may know the answers.

I suspect DZ1 because diode test on my multimeter shows .54 on one side.  My amateur reflex thinks DZ1 (should as nearby DZ2), shows an OL reading when I switches the probes.   But DZ1 surprises me with a .99 reading.   I know I shall really take the diode out to be accurate.   But this is by me...

Just replaced the 2 big caps of 220uF as well.   So, all caps onboard are new now.   No luck still. I did connectivity test between each leg of the caps to a nearby joint by following lines onboard.   Is this good enough? Before throwing my towel, I gave another good wash to the board.  ...

A diode labeled DZ1 behind ADB port seems faulty, but too blurred to read its chip details.

Yes, it was washed and the battery is new.  My last rescue attempt will be to change the remaining two large caps and perhaps another bath.   After that, hunting for a new mb on ebay. Will let you and @NIGHT STALKER know if it works.   Thanks both of you for ideas and support!   :)
