    Bondi Blue CD hints?

I am actually (in fact I turn 17 tomorrow - surprise surprise, I'm actually young!). I figured out the frequency was somewhere around 18,000Hz, but with my SE it does go away after a little while. I have a little Samsung TV that has the high pitched sound and it's really loud and annoying, so I...

    Bondi Blue CD hints?

I have the same issue with my SE - high pitched whine. I recapped the PSU and it didn't stop (but the voltage rails become more stable). I heard from some people it's the video circuitry, so I'll be recapping it in the new year. If that solves the problem I'll be sure to let you know!

Who has a iMac G3 with either a Sonnet Harmoni processor upgrade and or a item that uses the Mezzanine slot?

Woah that's awesome! Would love to find a Rev A/B/C/D iMac at some point, they seem like a cool machine to upgrade!

    Appleshare for 4mb Mac plus

Optimem saves a bit of RAM too, although I don't know how much. I have my Plus with 7.5.5, 7.1.2, 6.0.8 and I think something older can't remember.

    My Recent Additions

    1. Recently I had been in the Mac collecting mood, so I was looking around and found a 12" iBook G4 (Mid 2005) on the Japanese proxy service Buyee. I ended up winning the auction for $12AUD (About $8USD), and also paid shipping afterwards. At the end of it all I ended up with a 1.33GHz iBook G4...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

That's a shame. Hopefully you can get it working :/ Thanks for the capacitor list, that's really helpful.

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

Yeah definitely. Especially considering it's a Snow, which are more valuable due to the colour rarity.

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

Oh interesting. Did the iMac seem like it was quite heavily used? The indigo 400MHz iMac I had did the screen jump a bit and seemed quite heavily used but my Graphite seems to be completely rock solid in regular use. Honestly I'm starting to believe the Slot loading Macs are actually more...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

Well the main reason I made the thread was because I saw what I thought was a bulging cap (a really big one like 600uF), and it turns out it was actually the vinyl cover on it, so it was fine. The Mac (and my other one from the same place) both have the cosmetic issue but they're completely...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

Mine is a 600MHz Graphite version, with LG board too. Definitely will be interesting to see. Good luck!

    New Macintosh SE

My SE had the PSU rather weak so I recapped it and now it's pretty solid. Mine is showing some weird graphical issues so I need to recap the video circuitry area. Aside from that, pretty solid machine.

    Upgrades for 24" 2007 iMac

Just looked it up and the 2400XT and 2600XT are the only two supported GPUs for the 2007 iMacs. Mine has the ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO according to EveryMac, so I don't think I can do anything with that.

    Upgrades for 24" 2007 iMac

Interesting. What sort of GPU upgrades are there?

    Upgrades for 24" 2007 iMac

I got a Mid-2007 iMac from my grandmother recently, and was wondering what kind of upgrades are possible for it. It's already got an SSD, 4GB RAM and the top-spec 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme, so I was just wondering if there's any other kind of upgrade possible. Can't think of anything though...

    9" Compact Completists?

I have a Plus, 512Ke and SE (the Plus and SE both have 4MB RAM). All three are working. I also have a Classic that had its CRT shatter so it's in parts.

How long does OS9 take to boot for you?

I do have a battery actually - I'll be sure to enable that. The machine runs really well in general, as it has a fairly modern 2010 7200RPM IDE 320GB (!!!!) HDD in it, and that drive is very healthy so it runs great.

How long does OS9 take to boot for you?

Looks like I miscalculated - it took a total of 1:10, although post takes nearly 13 seconds due to the 768MB of RAM I have in there. The bootup process is actually closer to 35-40 seconds, as it also hung a little on bootup which it didn't do before. Believe it or not, MacOS X 10.4 took only...
