That's totally fair - you don't want to potentially be responsible for people damaging their Macs and that is completely reasonable. If Derek wants to make his own bezel for his Mac that's fine, but he needs to understand why others won't follow 🤷

This is exactly what I was concerned about. It's just not a good idea to print such a structural part. I'm not trying to hate on you @derekdavidkent but you're causing drama that isn't needed.

Will 3D printed parts be strong enough to support the weight of a CRT? I've never 3d printed anything and I don't know much about the bezels on slot loaders, only tray loaders.

Yup - just image the drive then restore the image to the other iBook. Works great usually

My SE has had a rough life - recapped AB and PSU, maxed 4MB, dual 800K, 40mb HDD (died recently), and wonky screen geometry. It still has some issues with it's drives and the screen wobbles occasionally, but it's still kicking. I love it's cosmetic damage - gives it charm. They really are fun...

A thump (a deep, quick "doop" noise) or something similar - I'm not sure how loud it is on a 10" CRT, it's not super loud on a 9" Mac.

Have you fully recapped it and cleaned all of the analog board? Apparently inconsistent boots can be a symptom of a weak power supply, meaning your board might need recapping or could have some corrosion in places. Worth checking!

The Classic I type A board can't be used with a Type B yoke and vice versa though. My Classic I is a Type B. Anyway, do you have Type A and B PCBs?
