Yup, exactly the case, except that no amount of charging revives the batteries; they're as good as dead most of the time. I just run my PB 1xxs with no battery at all except for one aftermarket one I have, just to make sure the dead battery won't leak and such. There is nothing too special...

Alright, so I've finally got some more time to take a look at the issue. So if I'm not mistaken, the actual problem is the threaded brass rings breaking free from the plastic casing, right? I'm assuming that those plastic casings are the ones that need to be strengthened. Thanks!

No offense, but..... What's wrong with him not wanting to make images? Just because somebody gets software that isn't on the web doesn't mean that they have to bow down to you and immediately send you the images.

I definitely have to agree! The Seagate 9 GB 50 pin drive in my LC 475 is really quiet and fast. I'd like to get one for my 7100/80, but they haven't shown up on eBay for a while now. I'm considering just picking up a 68-pin drive and an adapter.

Sorry for the two-year old thread revival, but I just found out that the D stands for Drexel University, and they used this logo on all of their stuff they sold to students (?). Pretty interesting...

When I cleaned the paint off my IIsi, I just used Qtips dipped in the brake fluid. It takes a while, but you will probably need a little elbow grease for the hard-to-reach spots. Also, it HAS to be Dot 3 brake fluid. Anything else melts plastic instantaneously, so be careful.
