Apropos of nothing in particular, today's Powerbook combo :-) I think they go well together! Did the grey version of this monitor ever come with the easel back stand? I have that for one of the VGA blue/white ones, but have a low-grade want for the grey one if it exists.

Any kind of external SCSI HD or Zip drive? If it's too big to fit on one floppy, there's one of the file compression utilities that can break archives up into floppy sized chunks, and then re-assembles them when you extract. I just can't remember the name right now! :-(

Glad you got a chance to play with some of your new toys! :-) What's that on top of the /// and monitor? Looks kind of like a DuoDisk with the slots blanked out. Can't make out the text at all.

Wouldn't kill me if we needed a destructive teardown of the Brainstorm BBU, but it would be a bonus if we could preserve the original. So - don't rule it out if that's what it comes to.

This is true - I've bought that kit before, and it includes the axials along with the tantalum caps.

I can confirm that the fanless Radeon 7500 runs great in a Cube without extra cooling for normal use. I could see a lot of multi-hour gaming probably not being a good idea, but for "everyday" use, I've not had problems with either of my Cubes with Radeon 7500s in them. If you get stuck, I can...

Yes - the PDS card is part of the Brainstorm system. You need both the PDS card and the BBU chip as far as I know.
