Problem solved. The problem turned out to be a faulty daughter card. I switched to another daughter card from a broken PSU. I changed the polarity orientation of one capacitor (100 µF 6.3 V) following Maccaps reference. Still, I’m not sure if it made any difference or if the old daughter card...

I just finished re-capping an IIsi Sony PSU, and it passed the smoke test. However, the PSU won’t start -- it only clicks. This is my first PSU re-cap that I have performed myself, and I’m a bit lost as to where I should look first. Any help is truly appreciated.

Thanks, and yes, that is correct, just open the caddy and put the CD inside. It is not the most convenient way, but it feels more professional. Recap is almost always a good idea, but floppy drive failure is usually due to other factors; broken eject gears and headers.

No PDS card, but a WGS card would be fun to have. I’m running tests in HDT 2.0 right at this moment and ID 0 just failed! So, there is definitely something going on with SD or SCSI2SD card. I’ll have to dig deeper.

Good input! I have tried a couple of drivers, but no difference in behaviour. I’m gonna try a new SD-Card. Next, I’ll remove the A/UX partitions just to see what happens.
