Morning all,
I have this new BlueSCSI v2 internal in my Power Mac 6100 DOS Compatible for now at the moment - been in it for past 2 weeks as I am slowly building up the system more focused for DOS environment.
Last night I decided to connect SCSI2SD to get some files off it from other Mac, When...
PowerBook G4 1.67ghz DL last PowerBook G4s 17” - has anyone rebuilt this battery in this PowerBook? It used to run for more than 2 hours, and now it won’t even run for 2 minutes - Ive already tried reset technique. I haven’t even found new battery for it - it would have been nice if I was able...
Yep - it gets bricked as soon you disconnect the terminals.
I've even had the board powered (to keep the board alive) while working on it didn't work either as It was a good battery that I killed it.
I'd be interested to hear from you if you succeed.
Cheers

1400c hands down - I do have one.
I was given 4x 1400s one had better parts and others were least better parts and started mix'n'match into best 1400s, I turned one into 1400c/166 which I am happy with. I am about to rebuild the battery over the holidays.
Cheers

They're getting cheaper in these days but harder to get, low space ie. 32/64gb/128gb/256gb are appearing in recyclers now which they quietly take them out and I buy a bulk (I have about nearly 15 of them mixed of m.2, mSATA and 3rd party drives - with m.2, theres 3 different types of SSD drives...
The m.2 adapter is the green board in this photo. (44pin to m.2)
Black one is mSATA
Bottom on is IDE to SD.
CPU card on the right - PowerLogix 466mhz.

Had time this afternoon to play with my PowerBook G3 PDQ with Hard drives.
I had;
IDE to SD
IDE to mSATA
IDE to m.2
Run some tests - clearly m.2 is the fastest - see highlighted.
Specs;
PowerBook G3 PDQ with 512gb RAM, Running Mac OS 8.6, mirror image between 3 SSDs.
CPU:
Apple 300mhz...
Evening all!
PowerBook G3 PDQ (300mhz CPU but overclocked to 333mhz and also I do have BlueLogix 466mhz as well)
For last couple of weeks I have been playing with;
IDE to SD Adapter (same as 1st post)
IDE to mSATA adapter
IDE to m.2 adapter
I am still suspicious about the reliability of IDE...
G'day all,
I really LOVE both of my PowerBook 3400 and Kanga but I am not using it because of the battery. I don't want to plug to powerpoint just to use it as I might as well use the desktop mac if I do that hence I don't use it.
HAS anyone came up a solution to rebuild the battery for it?
I...
I have not found an solution - in these days now I rarely connect SCSI2SD with PowerBook 550c as I'll use ethernet from the server if i need some files.

I have this Quadra 840av board, it isn't working at this stage and I noticed two capacitors are missing on the bottom of the board suspected rough handling.
On the underside on the battery end side;
C399
C397
Really keen to fix this board up.
Does anyone know what voltage/value they would...
Do you have soldering flux? And clean it up with IPA, That'll help.
It might be ok/not damaged - flux will help to clean it up, and maybe a small drill bit to hand drill it out.
Cheers
