FPU for IIsi and ethernet card for LC475

There were some sold with bare sockets.

FPU for IIsi and ethernet card for LC475

Correct on the IIsi. On the LC475, better to just get a real '040, though the '882 should work in theory (I don't know how the 68882 in that ENet card is connected to the bus, however).

    Overclocking Consolidation Thread(Vintage Mac Clockchipping)

My Q800 has a NewerTech clip-on overclock. Right now it's set to 40MHz. I'm thinking of dropping it to 38MHz so I can install the 601 card, but really, that extra 2MHz makes a big deal in A/UX and it's a pretty lousy Power Mac (compared to my 6116CD and 7100).

    iMac G4 1.25GHz 20-inch

I actually like the 15" better, because it's less weight on the arm. I'm starting to hear about the arms starting to sag with the heavier panels. All anecdotal, of course, but it's the same arm whether it's 15, 17 or 20.

    Sonnet G4 Upgrade

Make sure you follow the directions exactly. Odds are you need to flash the firmware as part of the installation. The manual should explain how. Some Sonnet G4s will not work with early versions of OS X (for example, the 7447As in my Encore/MDX do not work with any version of OS X before...

    SE/30 and PowerMac 7600

Always liked the Outrigger Power Macs. The 7300 and 7600 are my personal favourites, though I have more 7300s in service.

    IIgs lost it's floppy

    Isn't it PR#6 anyway? EDIT: NVM, you're not talking about a 5.25"

    Trackpad on 12" G4 PowerBook doesn't work

They are not the same trackpad, I'm pretty sure. The 1.5GHz and higher PB G4s implement a USB trackpad (which has multifinger scroll support); all the earlier versions of AlBooks and TiBooks actually have ADB trackpads (which do not unless you install a kext like iScroll2).

iMac G3 ... with a little sumthin' extra.

    Fortunately, not SMT.

iMac G3 ... with a little sumthin' extra.

With the HARMONi, OS X is very competent. And OS 9, of course, flies. I'm trying to get an OS 9 MIDI interface instead of mucking around with GarageBand, which might be suboptimal on this machine anyway. Then I can do everything in ProTools. But this weekend I'm going to get out the multimeter...

    Apple Books and Appleshare 3

Don't use that crappy uShare that comes with it -- make sure you use the AFP server in 4.1.5. It's much, much better!

iMac G3 ... with a little sumthin' extra.

It's the Yamaha that won't power up now. It's obviously the power supply, so I can probably jury rig something if I can't fix it directly. The iMac G3 is, for a change, behaving.

Your NIB(New In Box) or NOS(New Old Stock) Apple Collections

I keep boxes, but I have very few NIB things BECAUSE I USE THEM DAMMIT.

I have one of those too. :)

iMac G3 ... with a little sumthin' extra.

I swapped everything over to a new housing (still strawberry, but new power supply, CRT and analogue board), and no more arcing. I burnt it in for several hours with Graphing Calculator and no glitches. So I plugged in the Yamaha CX5M to play with it and ... it flickered and died. I'll crack it...

You're Winner ! I'm a big fan of the original series, and I did enjoy Ghost Protocol, so this made a good combination. Chance eBay find.

    Solar Bookcover for PB 1400

So whatever happened with this? I've decided my pimped 1400 is not fully pimped without a SolarCover.

Good Ethernet Cards for a Powerbook 1400c

No. The combo modem cards do not work with this driver (this is a 3C562; you need a 3C589C/D).
