you best bet is finding one with an 83mhz grackle and switching out the roms. best of both worlds. If you get the high end sonnet, you can only run at the 66 mhz anyways though.

cache is built into the processor card, so you dont have to worry about that. you will, however, have to worry about the voltage regulator. There is a certain brand that fries any processor that didn't come in the computer.

for ppc gaming, i use the g3 in my signature. For 68k, I use my Quadra 950 with 88MB of ram.

if it still doesnt work, you should try the atx power supply hack. although it might just be safer to get your hands on something like a quicksilver or some g4 with a bigger power supply.

i ran the powerlogix g3 in my beige and then put the g4 in because my brother and i traded. he wants to push the bus back up to 100Mhz.... G4 screams compared to the g3 when having more than one app open. as for in os 9, I did have the lock up problem with both cpus and it was an ATi driver...
