Voltage is too low, should be around 5v, check your two boards in the working 128k. Have a look at the circuit of analogue board and look for faulty components or joints around the voltage adjustment potentiometer.

You really should upgrade the ROMS it will solve your problems

If you look at the different backgounds in the control panel there is one that is all squares if you set it you can easily adjust the screen until all the squares look correct and the screen size is as mentioned above

You can hang the floppy out the back of the chassis to test it, its upside down but will still work

Well done. Having a lot of possible items to purchase is definately a luxury that we don't have in Tasmania. The external drive is cool

Looking at your board I think it suits a reloaded. You have the possibility of spending a lot of time testing and track repairing compared to a parts swap. Mind you you may be lucky and its easy to fix but!

Going very well. Maybe try reseating the ROM and RAM chips on the board. Can you type when booted into 6.08 or 7. Create and new folder and try to rename it. Forgot its an SE not SE/30 you only have 4mb of memory to play with, look at memory being used in Basilisk!

The 4 gears I referred to on Ebay are the correct ones for your drive. Also never has a logo bleach using the paint on peroxide method

Yes checked all soldering. Have moved on a bit I cleaned all the CRT contacts and have managed to get a single bright horizontal line now. Yoke connector is OK looking at the Q2 Q4 and Q5 area.

Have a 512k/plus AB. It's been recapped and cr20 replaced and no longer fup fup fup. Plus DB chimes but screen is dead. Screen does work on another supply and the HT is alive (spark test). I've reflowed the connectors and have tested 11.5v on the CRT electron gun but it does not show any...
