    DOA G4/DA/466 = ATX shenanigans . . .

Oh shoot, I am sorry, it is 20v.. Still good though. Anyway. I picked up my adapter at a local shop for nothing so I do not know what they normally cost. Also, this has the front panel header pinout: http://www.outofspec.com/frankenmac/wire.shtml

    DOA G4/DA/466 = ATX shenanigans . . .

Those are standby rails. You can connect the 5v of ATX to the 28V of the Mac and be able to boot(but you are not going to be using Firewire or ADC displays) but I have noticed that if you keep it that way for a long time it eventually starts having trouble cold booting. For my DA at the moment I...

    rounded screen corners

You do not even need linux, a fullscreen game will use the corners too. I would test with a movie but I do not have anything that is 1680x1050 on my beige G3 atm.

    CompactFlash in a Compact Mac

I think you should just leave the CF card inside or connect it externally and keep the floppy drive where it is. >_> Not trying to be a downer, it is just that with a computer this old the floppy drive is generally handy.

Powerbook G3 Lombard 10.4 Wireless card

I used to use a Linksys WPC54G v3 with the built-in airport drivers. (but you might have to run software update a couple times to get the latest, I had to do that in both 10.3 and 10.4 on my PDQ)

    G4 processor swaps

If I may also add: You can use Sawtooth/Gigabit Ethernet CPUs in a Digital Audio without any changes at all. Apple System Profiler may say it is running slow but other programs can generally detect it properly. (I have personally tested this, including changing the resistors and running...

Best AGP Video card for a G4 OS/9 OSX 10.4

Ah, yea, he said Cube didn't he. :/ I do not Cube. So anything I ever say is prooooobably irrelevant to cube owners.

Best AGP Video card for a G4 OS/9 OSX 10.4

This only has Quake 3 and UT99, but look at the high res quake test: http://www.barefeats.com/pmddr6b.html This also has GF4Ti vs some slower cards: http://www.barefeats.com/graf31.html

Best AGP Video card for a G4 OS/9 OSX 10.4

I am pretty sure that the best card for OS 9 and OS X together is still the GF 4Ti. Also, there is no card that supports core image in OS X as well as being old enough for OS 9 drivers. Just so you know. (but you can still get Quartz Extreme&OS 9 support with one card) You best option is...

Best AGP Video card for a G4 OS/9 OSX 10.4

Floppy Emu: an SD Card Floppy Emulator

I am no electrical/software engineer and this is all over my head.. but what happened with the suggestion someone had about loading the fakedisk into a ram chip and just editing that.. then writing RAM contents to the card at user's discretion or during inactivity or whatever? Did you say you...

    CF AztecMonsters have landed

Just for fun, can you toss an IDE-CF adapter onto the AEC-7720U? (nothing with any fancy chips, just nice and passive) It will likely not give better results, but just for the sake of curiosity and to deal with any questions about how the AztecMonster itself actually does stack against a normal...

PowerBook G3 Wallstreet & 2.5" IDE Hard Drive Cloning

Well, SCSI on Macs is slow anyway. *IF* you can get a firewire card I would go for that. I have a Macally FH-BUS2 and it does work under OS 9, I am sure there are others out there too but I did not see others on OWC's site when I checked. How about you use this(OS 9 compatible)...

PowerBook G3 Wallstreet & 2.5" IDE Hard Drive Cloning

To be perfectly honest, yea, I could try to link you to one listed on a Canadian or American site, but being in Japan I would kiiinda suggest looking locally before committing to paying shipping costs.. though I do not know the availability of these things over there. And I would like to say...

PowerBook G3 Wallstreet & 2.5" IDE Hard Drive Cloning

Either use a desktop Mac or even just one with USB.. or you could get a USB CardBus card and one of those little $15-$30 SATA/PATA -> USB boxes(OWC and most online PC stores have them) and use that. Alternatively format. Starting fresh may not be a terrible idea.

Lombard Powerbook crashes after installing After Dark

The only issues I have had with After Dark (v2 IIRC) Star Trek Edition (TOS) was, as far as I recall Multimodule not working and some modules require 256 colours.. not sure if randomizer works but pretty sure that is all, it does not crash. However, that does not mean other ones are the same...

    CF AztecMonsters have landed

While you guys are faffing about with FWB junk I am quite looking forward to seeing benching being done with other programs. Could someone please actually look into HDD results from MacBench and Norton Util's thingybenchyapp? Also, Udo.Keller, I would like to ask that you please refrain from...

    Window Resizing

If it lets you then perhaps try hitting the enter key if it defaults to ok/save/etc or try esc to hit cancel.. but IDK how far back that sort of stuff goes or what OS you are using.
