Awesome, that did it! Expanded using Stuffit, moved the extension to Extensions and the application to Control Panels and immediately got a working timesync. Maybe someone can put this one on MacintoshGarden as well for future fun?

Hi all, I'm trying to get Tardis installed on my SE but no luck. The file does not have the correct resource info - even if I bring the ZIP file over, fix the type to PACT/CPCT and expand I get errors (file corrupt). Must be something trivial, tips?

I think the pattern comes from the display chip reading from uninitialized video memory. How I remember it is that as soon as your hear the chime it means the CPU is running ROM code. Glad you got it sorted! Enjoy the “second coming of your SE/30” !

Thanks all for the feedback on the OWC SIMMs. I bought a 4x16 set from Slaton. Nice guy, good support. The SIMMs however do not fit snugly in the sockets, they’re quite thin. Maybe that is the root cause.

Indeed. But there's a review below the modules from somebody that bought them for their SE/30. And @smrieck511 mentions they work in his SE/30 (if installed as 8x16 anyway).

I'm having issues with the 4x16 I got off eBay and am looking to get the OWC memory instead. Are these SIMMs the same thickness like the original ones? All the new stuff are very thin boards and they just rattle inside the memory sockets.

OK, final update. Ordered a RPI4, flashed the card, booted. Everything working just fine in less than 5 minutes.

Correct! I do have the serial console sort of working but this OrangePI Zero 3 is giving me headaches. A Pi is much easier to work with for some reason. But, will get it sorted and post how when I do :-)

Finally managed to get serial working with a TTL adapter. The OrangePI should try to boot the SD drive with the MacIP software but it does not look like it really tries to. Will try a stock OrangePI Linux image first to get that working…

Good one. It does look like Apple kept the reigns short on what you could do. Other platforms were considerably more open to hacking your way around on the hardware. Looking forward to doing some tests on DMA related things when I have my classic Mac in working order!
