I mean, I guess I could do it, but I have never aligned anything before if it came to that (usually doesnt). If you have no takers, let me know and I can try my best at it. I can do a cleaning + lube + new gear + test, and I have a parts drive if needed.

Simple fix, the eject gear most likely crumbled into dust. Take apart the drive, clean and grease first, then focus on the eject part. You will see the issue. When you put it back together from whatever you did, the eject gears don't do anything because a gear broke.

Might be a driver issue? Don't know if that card needs drivers.

To clarify: you say you can share files in basilisk. Are you saying sharing works or am I reading it wrong? Or do you mean you can share from basilisk to the MacIP server? To see if this is a MacIP problem or a networking issue, try something internet based on the Mac and see if anything works...

It's in the gray part of the cable though, BEFORE the strain relief. If I cut it and solder, 1., the cord will be a few inches shorter, and 2., there will be no strain relief, and will look kind of hacked/odd. Was hoping there was some sort of cable I could swap it out with. Edit: looked at one...

Yup. Kind of expensive, but will get the job done. Use very little to repair visible cracks. That size will last a lifetime, but its all they have. I used it on my LaserWriter II to repair some cracks. I think Fizzbinn used it as well for some stuff, if you search for it, it should pop up...

You can go to 100% of the original strength by not using glue, but special plastic contact cement/solvent. There's a few posts on here about Weld On 2354 solvent. I have used it recently too. It will totally melt the plastic together. With enough, you could even make a plastic paste, if needed...

I can sort of answer B. With my IIg, I know that if it failed a self test, in my case the fuser blew, it sent an error to the Mac that said temperature error. That was using the built in Ethernet, which is really just ethertalk. An NTX with serial should act about the same.

I really would reconsider whatever you are trying to do ... I would A., Find an SE/30 chassis, or B., Find a broken SE/30 and swap logic boards. Don't get into hacking stuff together, you will end up hurting value in the long run. I'd probably go with option B. Someone on here will most likely...

Blown component on the AB would do this. Whatever you do, make sure you do NOT leave it on this screen for longer than a minute or two! The screen will get burned in.
