Found that, don't know how accurate it is though :
Apple II 64,700
Apple II Plus 545,500
Apple //e 4,250,000
Apple //c 450,000
Apple //c Plus 200,000
Apple IIGS 979,000
Total 6,489,200
I have bought a cheap complete setup, but the logic Board was bombed.
The PSU was not doing much, even with new caps. So removed components to clean below and put everything back. Still nothing.
Then removed and replaced the TL431, and this time the PSU worked.
Second time i fix one of...
If you need to turn PP1 all the way up, you still have an issue with voltages. PP1 is a fine adjustement only.
Voltages are ok, but probably an issue with cap goo around.
Two diodes should been replaced as a matter of fact (dp3 and dp4 IIRC)
But you also have an issue with vertical hold...
I don’t think your issue is related to power supply , but you can use a multimeter at the Molex connector and check for good voltages.
More an issue with a broken trace or bad SCSI chip
Hi, can’t find how many Apple IIe were made in total, one source says an average figure of 800 000 units.
But the IIe was made from 1983 to 1993, and the Plus is close to 400 000 units (in 4 years only) so probably the IIe should have higher numbers.
Anyone knows ?
The strange thing is that your SE was working before the new caps… and the SE is not known for having capacitors issues, had a few and most worked with original caps. A broken pad somewhere ??
Yes the ground clip should be there, but most of the times is lost.
As soon as the logic board is removed, the clip tends to follow the motion, and forgotten in the process.
The fail message error is related to the lock switch probably stuck, broken or faulty in your floppy drive, not an issue elsewhere.
Or… the lock is on…in all the floppy disks you are using (bottom left)
As always, the first of a kind is more sought after than following models.
For instance, a Lisa 1 (if you find one) is far more expensive than the Lisa 2 that followed (even a Lisa 1 modified by Apple to the newer model)
For the Macintosh line, the 128k was the first, and if you have the...
I agree a 100%, a complete unit including the original carriage bag but modified to a Plus LB was sold recently for 600 dollars, wihile another 100% original identical unit was sold for 1500 $
Hi, as always, prices are related to what people is willing to spend for it, but also what a similar item has been sold recently.
Macintoshes 128 are sought after, but a complete unit with all paperwork and accessories will worth more than a single unit not working or not complete.
The floppy...
i was thinking using two binaries in a 27C512 eprom and swapping from one or another for a Standard Rom or the newer 4X.
Anyone has done that already ?
I think using a switch on pin 27 (A 14) to get it working (probably even using the standard logic board bridges to do so)
