Setting up a PC Trasporter on a IIGS

Setting up a PC Trasporter on a IIGS

Adapter arrived but TransDrive not working... maybe the unit is defective, I will check it more thoroughly and maybe try it with a simple 3.5" drive and not a gotek (which is confirmed working with the TransDrive card presented above). Meanwhile, an interesting update found hanging online on...

Setting up a PC Trasporter on a IIGS

Found an adapter from IDC 34pin PC floppy to card-edge 34 pin PC floppy (which I learned to be the internal connection of units inside the TransDrive box) - it's in Europe so just a few euros to get it assembled and shipped to Italy (less than ordering the PCBs myself anyway). Just counting the...

Setting up a PC Trasporter on a IIGS

[Update] - maybe this PCB https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/5_25__Floppy_edge_connector_to_34_pin_3_5__floppy_drive_adapter.html could do the trick?

modern PSU replacements for Powerbooks / iBooks (in Europe)

Hi, I am trying to map possible replacements of power supply units for Powerbook and iBook, which are currently sold and available in Europe. So far I found some models at power4laptops.com (based in UK but seems to have other national websites including Italy where I live), and they also sell...

suggestions to pack & ship a (black) 5500

The plastics are indeed really brittle, so I am afraid this could happen to me as well. I guess @finkmac and @joshc are right in the end... I think I will end up offering it locally or maybe delivering it myself at a (not so) wider distance if I manage to sell it. Thanks for your advice everybody.

suggestions to pack & ship a (black) 5500

hello everybody. I have a spare (black) 5500/225 Power Macintosh that I am restoring and I plan to put for sale when it will be ready, but... I need suggestions about how it could be packed to survive shipping, since it's a super heavy beast with its 15" internal CRT, and a bit of a rarer model...

    Apple II serial card identification

It seems to me very very similar to this other one which popped up a few years ago in the Apple II FB group: and ended up being identified as a CAD system: light pen controller + dongle box for protecting the CAD software. If the link works (and it's allowed...) this is the FB post...

Looking for a Newton 2100 rom file

maybe OT, but I see the system text strings embedded in the ROM. I always wanted to make a localized ROM in Italian, I wonder if I should simply edit these strings letter by letter, or is there some disassembled ROM to make it easier.

should I kill a black adb mouse II ?

is this so to say, or are you recommending some laser tool to cut the plastic away? In this case, can you be more specific or even share a link to such tools? thanks @LaPorta

should I kill a black adb mouse II ?

I managed to glue it back but it (barely) works with vertical movements, while horizontal (especially to the right) is really not there. I will maybe give it another shot, and if I will not make it... then snipping and converting to optical.
