I did that, replaced the psu in my old 6200 with the guts of a brand new SFX form factor unit I purchased from Amazon for 27 Euro. The effort is almost the same as recapping the original psu but with vastly superior results. The original psu is incredibly crappy so that not one I found ever...

None of these will work unless you build a Takky 575, which, btw, would be supercool due to the larger and much better crt and 640x480 native resolution…. not to mention the CD-rom player etc etc.

That is so weird, the TAM is essentially a 6500 board, which I am playing with even nos and I never seen some like this…. Maybe the battery was not simply dead but also shorted out?

I hear you. All the machines that have spin drives are the ones I fire up once or twice a year. And I have an image of those drives. The rest have either a blu/zulu or whatever SCSI to SD or for ide, solid state of eny kind.

They were use din a lot of IBM machines…. Once I get home I’ll take a pic of mine.
