Amazing progress has been made in terms of complexity wondering where we'll be within the next ten years?
Anxiously awaiting a hybrid Q630 leading into PPC versions of the platform. Really needs provision for more memory and pathway to install a great VidCard for both platforms. 🤞
I'd suggest holding on to them. The way things are going with remix boards in terms of complexity, the 7100 will almost certainly become a target within the next ten years. So proprietary 7100 silicon will go up in value monetarily and preservation status. NuBus PPCs are a short lived...
Still need the NEUTRAL position, is that doable under your setup?
Yep, replacing all the guts of the PowerBook 100. But it's the Compute Module version that came out a few years ago. CM5's out, but sticking with the original concept for dream machine...
Been looking into this a bit further:
Feed power to the OEM pot card
GPIO measures resistance of current induced by potentiometer
GIVEN: mid-range resistance = NEUTRAL
IF: resistance level drops to X
THEN: blip 1
IF: resistance level rises to Y
THEN: blip 2
Might be time to learn MicroPython...
He mixed up the nomenclature, known good NIC in the PDS slot is causing the problem, no NuBus involvement. Power likely won't be the issue in that scenario.
BTW: Rocket works fine under RocketShare (RocketWare incompatible) in the IIsi, given my janky setup with a mauled IIcx form factor PSU...
Need help on this one gang. I'd like to develop a circuit to use the OEM board's potentiometers to act as the four Menu Buttons on the LCD Controller's input board if possible. Don't need power switch, when system powers up the screen turns on, power down and it's off.
- rotation of wheel to...
Graphics card for a second, higher Resolution/Color Depth display is a must for me.
Disintegration of plastics is a major concern for everyone. Thankfully, printing parts is coming along nicely in terns of size and finish.
Was just thinking about ATX PSU conversions. @max1zzz might you be able to build such right into an ATX form factor IIcx/Rocket launch pad remix? That open air case is calling me. :D
That'd very much be a modernization of the HackIntosh/CatMac projects of yore!
Your IIcx board would be the perfect candidate for showing off your Rocket in the likes of that open air setup! ;)
I've been casually nosing about for such a glassy display case for my bare PEx board.
Six slot boards require that slots and I/O panel be near the bottom. The ATX I/O panel is too narrow for most cases to work. Rivets for the backside of the case are all but ideal for a plexi replacement. Just...
@bigmessowires developed a laser cut plexi mini-case for his LC machines a while back:

If you want to re-case your boards in PC form factors, pick a case that has a removable Backplane panel for a Mac...
You might want to consider that the Luggable/PB100 are akin to (based upon) the more advanced SE Slot Manager architecture. You might have some luck barking up that tree in terms of your emulation adventures?
Methinks the other 68000 Compacts would be very much the wrong tree, just lift your...
Ah, thanks for the explanation! Wasn't clear, clumsily tried to describe the full loadout of three expansion cards the interrupt on the 030 PDS support. That was within the context of the "fourth card" being an accelerator in the pictured stack
The "million dollar question" fitment/interface...
Yep, amazing stuff goin' on in this new age of development for Paleolithic Macs. 😁
Your fourth card is a Carrera, accelerators don't require an interrupt, cards interrupt them! Loading on the PDS for the three available interrupt lines/expansion cards and capacitance of the stack would be the...
Yep, never said id doesn't work. But three cards on the PDS is running it on the ragged edge electrically.

Coupled with a SCSI/SD you'd never need to remove the CF card, no? I'll be quiet now. ;)
edit: nice comeback! Didn't know. Again, thinking about limiting the PDS to only two cards, which relates to the "million dollar question" upthread.
Mentioned CF->SD adapter upthread. @zigzagjoe said there were requirements that need to be met for adapter to work.

Micro SD slot on the backplane?
edit: throw socketed CF adapter onto a reloaded logic board with new build PDS card stack into a clear case? 😁
All brand new (aside from...
Socketed SE/30 version would be outstanding. That'd leave the full length/cubic of the expansion card chimney open and view less blocked in a clear case as well as reduction of loading on the PDS for a "three" card stack.
edit: Socketed version would make for @Bolle NIC/Accelerator Adapter and...
