    Hermes BBS install

Sidd's gonna take a look into it and hopefully he can at least disable the serial number check in the message editor. I believe that the program is fully functional otherwise, correct?

    Hermes BBS install

Interesting, so the crack really didn't work. I'll let Sidd know.

    Hermes BBS install

I think the cracked app just lets you use and old serial number. I guess you'll find out in a month after installing if it doesn't accept outside calls...

    Checkmate Retro LCD Monitor

I remember seeing this Kickstarter when it was live and these were not cheap - I think it was around $400 once you added your module...

    Schematics for Power Mac 7600?

Voltage is good to the 8925, and all the lines to the Curio are good. I just can't figure out where the GCRTSA line from the 8925 goes from the schematics...

    Got a Macintosh! Now What?

A BlueSCSI wifi will give you HD emulation and let you have wireless network access. An external PiSCSI can do the same and also let you easily set up a netatalk (AppleTalk) file server which makes it a breeze getting files to the SE from a modern Mac. And it will also let you print over your...

    Schematics for Power Mac 7600?

It's not the modem cable - it works fine with my other Macs and I tried another one just to be safe and got the same results. Thanks for the suggestions, but without the schematics I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to check connections between those two chips, at least with my limited...

    Schematics for Power Mac 7600?

Interesting about the lightning strikes. And yes, I tested continuity through the port.

    Schematics for Power Mac 7600?

Ok, so here's the deal - the data in is fine as I can see my wifi modem booting up and connecting to wifi, but there's no data out as I can't type in any "at" commands. Everything works fine from the printer port. Continuity from the modem port lines to the DS8925M chip at U4 are good and...

    Schematics for Power Mac 7600?

Does anyone have the schematics for the PowerMac 7600's logic board? I've got a modem port that doesn't work, but the printer port works fine.

ADB to USB converter & Wifi2Serial project - DONE!

Smart - run the BBS on your PC so you can play on your Macs! 😀 The only wifi modem with a full AT command set capable of hosting a BBS that I'm aware of is the WiModem232. I've got an instance of Hermes II v3.5.11, which works on 68k Macs and supports TCP/IP connections, running via emulation...

setting up a G4 Tower Quicksilver 933 MHz

The serial port is the standard Mini DIN-8 and can be used for AppleTalk or serial devices. The card is mounted where the modem sits and then a cable runs to the phone jack which is in turn replaced by a serial jack. You can connect a wifi modem via a Mac modem cable (Mini DIN-8 male to DB25...

setting up a G4 Tower Quicksilver 933 MHz

Sorry I'm late to the party, but it took me a while to look up all the mods I've done to my Quicksilver over the years. It's my goto OS9 machine! Here's what I've done to mine: -Added 128MB ATI Radeon 9250 PCI card (Mac version) - Quake Arena and Unreal Tournament really fly! -Added 2.5in...

Looking for BBS Software for System 6 with DaynaPort and MacTCP

About your only option would be NSCA Telnet. Unfortunately you cannot get ANSI graphics with this or upload/download with a BBS. If you're truly stuck with System 6, the best option would be to get a wifi modem and connect up with ZTerm.

    White Knight Host Mode

Nope - Black Night and ProTERM are the only terminal programs to support Telnet. Essentially the wimodem acts as a telnet to serial bridge for these older terminal programs.
