    Sonnet Crescendo 500/1M Fixable?

Amazing work!! I'm beginning to see why they threw this card in for free when I bought the working 400 MHz card. :cautious: Agreed this was a great save by you - I was just about to toss this thing before I came across your restored video cards thread... BTW, this will complete my ultimate...

    LAN Marathon!

Got together with a couple of my old pals last night and we played some old-school Marathon via LAN like BITD. Well, not quite as we all played it BITD - we played via Aleph One on our MacBook Pro's (although I did use an Apple Pro Keyboard for controls!). Had an absolute blast and we ended up...

    Hermes BBS install

If you've got a wifi modem, you can use the terminal command "atdt cqbbs.ddns.net:6800" to connect. If you've got an old-school dial-up modem, you can connect via 2600.network with username / password captainsquartersii.

    Hermes BBS install

Hey Will - great to see you on here! And great to see Hermes moving forward again. I'd be in favor of you doing this, since being able to have TCP/IP connections along with having the most compatible door games would make for the ultimate BBS. Also, I'm planning on setting up Hermes with...

Apple IIe card + SCSI ethernet

This should work, as I was able to get my IIe card to connect to a modified A2SERVER with my BlueSCSI a while back. I believe the emulated IIe Workstation Card just uses whatever AppleTalk connection you have set up on the Mac side of things.

    Hermes BBS install

Chris Swan, author of Black Night terminal program, has signed onto the BBS! He describes why Black Night was the best terminal program in the 90's and still works great today. He also talks about how he came up with the name (and no, it's not a play on White Knight). Check out post #76 in...

The Crow's Nest BBS, running Hermes II v3.1.1 on my 40 MHz 68040 Carrera-accelerated Mac IIci with six wifi modems hooked up to a CSI Hurdler II 4-port serial NuBUS card, is back for #MARCHintosh2025! What's new this year? Downloads have been updated with the latest vintage Mac software...

    Hermes BBS install

I'm still in touch - he had to evacuate during the Palisades Fire. Luckily his home survived but he wasn't going to be able to move back in for several weeks, so probably no new updates anytime soon. Speaking of Hermes, I'm planning on putting my 6 node wifi-modem Hermes BBS up again for...

Booster 2.0 in my SE/30 with DaynaPort PDS card results and benchmarks

Sweet setup! Now you just need one of ZigZagJoe's or Bolle's grayscale cards - ANSI emulation looks much better.

    Sonnet Crescendo 500/1M Fixable?

I recently received this broken 500 MHz Sonnet Crescendo in a purchase with another working accelerator, and I'm wondering if anyone might be able to fix it? There's a free working 400 MHz Sonnet Crescendo Z-PPCG3C-B in it for ya if you can! One of the PI53 bus switches has been mangled with...

Angry Robots! - new game for 68k Macs

Who's your mechanical father?! Level 50 took me MANY tries to get through, so thanks for making Level 51 easy. And awesome job with the game - I haven't had this much fun on a vintage Mac in a quite a while!
