    NuBus LocalTalk cards?

That's what I'm planning on using it for. Where can I find this driver?

    NuBus LocalTalk cards?

I'm thinking about getting one of these cards. Where were you able to find the drivers?

    Hermes BBS install

After fiddling around with this some more, I was able to get the latest beta (3.5.11) to run stably on my IIci with TCP connections. I installed 3.5.10 and used the existing System Prefs file (under Hermes Files -> Shared Files) from a previous 3.5.2 installation. Just don't copy over the...

    Netatalk 2.2.8 Released

Thank you so much! Netatalk remains a must-have for me for moving files between my vintage and modern Macs so it's great to see it still being updated.

    Hermes BBS install

Fast forward a few years later and I started playing around with Hermes II again! I tested out all the versions I could find - 1.0, 3.0, 3.11, 3.5.2, 3.5.9, and 3.5.11. I also dug up as many Hermes II door games as I could find. I'm posting here so it's at least documented somewhere. Here's...

What machine is better for playing Apple II games? (IIgs or LC+IIe card)

I'd go with the IIgs, and then you can play IIgs games too!

    System 7.1 File Server Error

Thanks for the suggestion but both Systems are running the same version of AppleTalk (v1.1) and OT (v1.3.1).

    System 7.1 File Server Error

I think you're right - I can upload to my RaSCSI file server which only has 825 MB free (although it freezes at the end but hitting STOP still completes the transfer) but not to my other netatalk server which has 19 GB free.

    System 7.1 File Server Error

In the quest to make my IIsi as speedy as possible, I've been migrating from System 7.5.5 to 7.1. The only thing I can't get working in 7.1 that works fine with 7.5.5 is copying files to my netatalk file server running on a Raspberry Pi. Copying files from the server works fine, but when I try...

    Basilisk II AppleTalk networking?

I don't think AppleTalk actually works with Basilisk II - that's why you need to use TCP/IP networking and type in the IP address of your server. More info here: https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7021

    Basilisk II AppleTalk networking?

Lauch BasiliskIIGUI and click on the Serial/Network tab and make sure slirp is selected for Ethernet Interface. I believe slirp is built-in as I don't remember installing it separately. I had to set my IP settings manually in the TCP/IP control panel as described here...

    Another Macintosh IIsi Restoration

I was able to find a DayStar IIsi cache adapter / PDS passthrough for my DayStar accelerator - now running at 50 MHz! It's getting a bit crowed in there with the Ethernet card... Here's the upgraded Speedometer score: The IIsi is much more usable online now!

    Basilisk II AppleTalk networking?

I can connect to my Netatalk file server on my Intel MBP via slirp Ethernet Interface in Basilisk II, but I have to go to Chooser -> AppleShare -> Server IP Address and enter the server's IP. It will NOT connect via AppleTalk.

    IIci logic board issue

Ok, thanks for the explanation - that was driving me crazy. I'm measuring 16 ohms from the 5V to GND. My IIsi doesn't give continuity from 5V to GND so I thought something was drastically wrong with the IIci. Good to know. So looking at the audio circuit below, I see that A/BRST go into pin...

    IIci logic board issue

All of the traces are surprisingly good. Looking at the schematic, I'm beginning to wonder if the chip at UB13 may be bad and maybe shorting out the 5V to ground? I'm probably at the point where I need to start swapping out components...

    IIci logic board issue

No battery damage. I thought about the ROM too, so I tried a Mac ROM-inator II in the rom slot and removed the jumper but got the same gray screen...

    IIci logic board issue

I get no chime when I turn it on. And thanks for the help! What do you think about the 5V and ground rails having continuity?

    IIci logic board issue

Hey guys, I recently acquired a IIci that just gives me a gray screen upon boot. I've got 12V and 5V at the HD power connector, so I'm assuming the PS is good. The board has some corrosion in the expected places near the surface caps, and C10, C13, and the IC at UD13 basically fell off with a...
