    ATTO SiliconExpress II - Clone a Fast/Narrow SCSI2 Card?

Some people like using real SCSI devices. I love my MO disks and drives. They look neat, are reliable, and are fun to use.

Just got a Macintosh 512k and I have some questions

@DistantStar001 If you still want to add SCSI to your 512K (or 128K or additional SCSI for Plus), you need one of the SCSI cards that sandwiched onto the ROMs. You already have the Plus ROMs installed, which is 1/2 way there. A LOT of different companies made one or cloned it. It was a...

Running the Thunder II 1360 at 1600x1200

Would it be possible to use the Radius ROM? Bring back 4 and 16 colors which the Radius Thunder II had. Dunno if the cards were still identical hardware-wise after Radius took over.

@GorfTheChosen Yeah, I eventually discovered the hidden screws, but I was unable to make my plug work. I'll try the screwdriver method. Thanks very much for that!

    Durosity’s conquests and collection

I often forget that not everyone has seen Spaceballs, and that my encyclopedic knowledge of the movie and ability to recite the entire thing by memory from start to finish are not common attributes.

    Swapping Floppy Parts Around

Addendum: Head swap is risky cuz of alignment issues. I've swapped with no issues, but I may have just been extremely lucky.

    Swapping Floppy Parts Around

@luRaichu had asked in a profile post about swapping the circuit board from a SuperDrive to an 800K drive to convert it. I know from personal experience that won't work because at the very least the chassis is slightly different between the two and it won't fit. However, I've swapped the head...

Can you format each individual side of a double sided disk?

Then it's that way. :) I don't know which head is the default one for which side. It's whichever head reads side one (whichever side that is). I could try again.
