    Bolo Crashing on Mac Classic

Totally illogical thing id try if it was me: unplug your RAM card, start into 6.0.8, and see if it works. If it does, there’s some issue with the card or the RAM on it…or an intermittent connection.

Were these machines always so painful? Maybe I'm misremembering, or maybe age hasn't been kind to them.

Simpler for the IDE setup would be an IDE to SD adapter. Works perfectly for me in my PT Pro with an ATA/166 card without any issue at all. No real need for an SSD in these.

Certainly possible if you had access to beta versions!

Yes, regardless of what machine you play on, the game window is always the same size. It would have been pretty cheap had it been otherwise. Now, with a larger screen, you likely could have had the overview map AND the game window open simultaneously without one blocking the other...that may be...

Found this first Gen Apple LCD display for cheap. Anyone have one?

The ONLY one I have is the one that matches the B&W G3…always thought the smoked gray one was cool.

It is supported on the Plus and up, so it should work without issue as you are saying.

The other question I’d ask is are there any extensions you are running in common between the systems that mess with the RAM at any sort of way?

In a coincidence, I just saw your post on the Garden >2 years ago under the Bolo page, and I actually do have a compiled version of the bolorama UNIX executable that I use to host a server.

Never had an issue, either. With an address error, is it possible that you have some bad RAM, or at the least an iffy connection to some of the built-in RAM? Any other issues at all with any other applications?

Help me find a realistic solution to my problem

Interesting. At the same time, I suppose I could just mirror the files onto the Pi and call it a day. I just wish I could figure out how to change the name of the share and the username/password for AppleTalk!

Thanks for a really nice technical overview! Fascinating...is there a good resource summarizing this as well as headers, etc, work in general?

The only Bin/Cue I ever came across on Mac was 3D Virtual Pool. I imagine there are others.

The script is a great option, thank you for this. …I’m also not pulling things out of wherever. I’m just saying it’s a viable option if done properly, and the OP was also asking for Mac-based options. I’m not putting down Windows options or dd or anything.

Oh of course, that makes sense, but if it’s all you happen to have…

Hasn’t made one bad image for me, ever, under 10.4 or 10.6.

If you rename a .cdr to .iso, it’s the same thing. Plus if we are dealing with Macs, why not? Macs also don’t generate .iso files via Disk Utility.
