Looks to me like 3 components burned judging by the melt marks on that plastic.
C15, L4, and probably C98 (looks cracked).
The issue you will have is which one blew taking the rest with them.
Cap goo eating into a trace can be a problem.
On a Nubus slot you have 32 pins x 3 rows (A B and C) for 96 pins.
A1, A2 are -12V
A32 B32 are +12V
and there are 11 +5V lines plus a ton of grounds.
A singe G4 is great until it breaks, and you have nothing to use. You don't need to be a hoarder, but I recommend having 2 machines of the same model just for a backup.
Mac Voodoo 5's are like $1000 these days. The PC and Mac PCI editions of the Voodoo 5 looks the same except for the DVI connectors, capacitors, and most importantly the Silicon Image chip.
The only way to real find a short is to use a bench power supply where you can dial in the current max and then use a thermal imaging camera to find the hot spot. You can have a short in the middle of the circuit board between layers and have to Dremel it out.
