too bad they changed the design of the newer stacks though. That's what I'm using my mini for, backups and media. I don't have a gigabit switch so the built in ethernet isn't a problem for me. oh and stacking the newer drives you may run into heat issues, stacked I had the fans in them...

yeah it's a 1.42. looks like the BT module is on it in the picture but no mention of it...hummm $6 shipping, take a risk on that having the BT module attached, that's all I actually want, think it'll work with out the airport card on it?

Yeah, when I was setting up the server(lappy was closed) it felt like I was on a typewriter... A broken one with no paper coming out :p . also used the closed lappy as a mouse pad heh. So far so good using the external drive. IDE to CF. adaptor arrived, still waiting on the CF card...

I think I figured out the screen issue, apparently the G4 mini doesn't like some kinds of high res screens or something or other. Problem appeared on a newer 1920x1080 22" monitor, I have it hooked up to an older 1280x1024" 15" LCD and it seems to be fine now. :?: fan isn't running...
