I need disk images for iCab 2.99 (the one for 68k Macs) and Stuffit 5.5 on 1.44 MB floppies. I can't figure out how to get them to my LC II, and online searching brings me almost nowhere. If anyone can help with this that'd be greatly appreciated.

Alright, good news, it sees my connection. Unfortunately, Stuffit won't let me unzip the .sit of iCab 2.99, so I'm having some difficulty getting online. Do you be any chance have a disk image of a browser that works with System 7.5.3?

Well, now it's sometimes accepting the disk, other times not. when it does accept it, it's pretty quick to got to the sad mac with 0F0064 error. Attached are the pictures of the mod. Also, I'm confused how if the RAM isn't bad, how did changing the RAM fix the startup sound?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find working drivers, so I'll have to put this off till I can find something. Just my luck :(

Unfortunate update, getting a 0f0064 sad mac... It would appear that a new floppy drive is needed to get this thing any farther. And unfortunately, eBay has no internal ones to offer.

Oh no, I didn't remove it, I just took out the IC to see what would happen. It's still in there.

Update- The Mac makes the normal chime now! I replaced the lower 9-12 RAM ICs with new ones, and now I'm a step further, because I also have a System 1.1 startup disk. The next issue is that it gets to the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen, then flashes randomly. Floppy drive error? EDIT- Video...

Well, just here's the problem. The connectors on the IC socket seem to have been soldered on in different locations as well, but those connections are gone now and just left stumps. I also played around with the chip last night, and I was able to remove it, which caused a horribly distorted...

Update- Made the situation worse, it would seem. There are now another set of dots, and the startup sound is the same. EDIT: The startup sound is a bit less distorted and slower and I can almost make out the chime now. Perhaps that SCC chip is the real problem?

Those little pink squares around the yoke are geometry magnets. I had to adjust that on my Mac too. Twist those until the image becomes a square, and there should be 8 of them, each corresponding to a corner/side of the screen.

Update- I have cleaned the board with distilled water and soap, rinsed it thoroughly and it's now drying. When I was cleaning, I noticed that 8530 SCC didn't seem to have the same factory solder in the connections, and they also looked a bit orange around the connection. I looked up this chip...

Yes, I was just testing the drive to make sure it told me that the wrong disk was in the drive, and it spit it back out. which it does! :)
