I was gonna suggest Apple Personal Diagnostics on a loop as well.

I believe there are 3D printed replacements available on eBay and whatnot. I think you can even get the files to print it yourself too. The button on my 7500 is missing as well, but I just use the keyboard power button.

Out of my 5 pizzabox machines, the only two working power supplies are Dyna Comps. The other three that are dead are TDKs. I just bought 5 capacitor kits, one for each power supply, from Console5. I think my very basic soldering skills can handle thru-hole caps pretty easily…I hope…lol.

I believe the Techtool Pro application by Micromat will display if there is an FPU installed in the hardware section. Not sure about any apps to be able to test functionality. I’d like to be able to do that too.

My LCIII+ has a 68030 CPU marked 33 but it only ran at 25MHz. @max1zzz is in the process of finishing up transferring all of its chips and parts to one of his new production LC III boards, and I had him do the resistor mod so it runs at 33MHz like it should. Can’t wait to get it back :D

Definitely! Our first Mac at home was a Performa 6300CD. Hobbled machine, but we loved it nonetheless. I lusted after the 6360/6400/6500 machines when they came out though. Glad to have one in my collection.

Power supply seems to be ok. I plugged it in and hit the button and it chimes fine. Power supply fans spin up etc. It’s missing the carrier for the optical drive/zip too though. I upgraded the Rage 128 that came with my B&W G3 years ago to a Radeon I believe. I can put the Rage back in the G3 and use the Radeon. Gotta dig the B&W out of the crawlspace though.
