Ugh I just recapped the entire thing and I still get absolutely nothing out of the unit not even a click. What's a bummer! What do you all think are the most common fail points?

It was me trying to be funny (and failing) hence the :) face. People bake the 180 LCD at super low temp to fix the tunneling issue. I'm certainly not going to cook the film - im about 50/50 right now that I screw this up anyway - just not that way.

Fortunately I actually have one but I'm not certain that screen is toast bc I haven't recapped it yet. It has some pinstripes but in my experience that's not typically damage... Anyway, my first move will be to attempt to clean it and then dry it - this kind of screen repair is a first for me...

So do I need to bake this thing? There don't appear to be any bad pixels so I'd like to salvage if possible

Any idea what might cause this after recapping both the LCD and the logic board?

I share this passion for maxing out the SE30z - any reason why you opted out of the Synchro030 w 256MB of RAM? I'll note that it does work w a Torus 040 accelerator bc it's PDS not cache. Maybe that will give you something long term to continue your quest?

Are you running it with a PSU? Can you take a picture of how you connected it all? I do think I have a driver disk - I'm not at home but once I get back I will try to locate it.

I managed to get the file running only right as I opened it up in noticed a tear in the right side of the ribbon cable - sadly severing the backlit connection. Just folded it one too many time in its modern incarnation.
