    Daystar PowerCache Quadra

It just came up when I manually checked an eBay saved search I have for "Daystar Digital". It was listed as "daystar digital 105013-109 33 Mhz Card 01-FC040-001", BIN $35. Super lucky timing I suppose as I'm sure lots of people have similar saved searches/alerts set up. Other then the printed...

    Daystar PowerCache Quadra

I was fortunate enough to pick up a Daystar PowerCache Quadra and have just started to dig into it. I've long wondered if L2 Cache would improve performance on 68040 machines as much as it does for 68040 and PPC ones. From the above linked archived data sheet: FastCache Quadra 128K Static RAM...

    Quadra 700 HDD LED Specs?

Looking to source an LED for my Quadra 700 (and Iici)'s hard disk drive activity light, something period appropriate. From above it sounds like it is supposed to be an amber color? I'm not sure what the secret googlesse is to find this type of LED either.... Right now I'm thinking this might...

Powerbook 520c aftermarket 32mb ram solutions

I was thinking check the connector but then you said you swapped CPU cards. ...did you also also visually check the connector PINs? its not too hard to bend the ones on CPU card side when inserting and removing the RAM cards. would be odd if you accidentally did it to both but in the realm of...

30Video: New video board for SE/30 / IIsi / more?

I'm not sure I'd want to alter my SE/30 this much and maybe a crazy idea but what about replacing the CRT with a modern 10? inch LCD and driving it with the 30Video VGA output? I guess that would be no different from the 30Video's prospective then driving an external VGA monitor? i.e. the...

    4400 no video.

I found a 64MB module that was only recognized as 32MB in my 4400 (in the dual banked slots). I thought I had at least one more but not finding any. Yours for shipping from VA, USA if you are interested. On eBay these look look like they should work and are a great price IMO...

    4400 no video.

How much RAM are you looking for? I think I might have a 16MB and/or 32MB stick leftover from when I upgraded the RAM in my 4400. It took me a good while to find two 64 MB DIMMs for mine on eBay at a price I was willing to pay.

    4400 no video.

    I don't think RAM from a 7200 will work in a 4400: https://www.applerepairmanuals.com/the_manuals_are_in_here/Power_Macintosh_7200_Series.pdf 7200: 5- volt, 64-bit-wide, 168-pin fast-paged mode, 70 ns DIMMs. https://www.applerepairmanuals.com/the_manuals_are_in_here/Power_Macintosh_4400.pdf...

PSI 030 Bus Adaptor with 64KB Cache It! IIsi module

Sure. No luck so far. I don't think "PSI Integration Inc" made it to the web era to have a possibly archived website/downloads. :-/ Did find a somewhat interesting product/pricing list in Mac User Feb 92:

Wombat (650, 800) board overclocking limitations

I seem to be hitting the jack pot on 68k L2 cache in that I think I picked up one of these Daystar "FastCache Quadra" L2 modules for cheap on eBay (after also finding one for the IIsi). Any pointers to the QuadControl v2.3 extension download? I don't see it on Macintosh Garden. It's labelled...
