And to @joshc 's earlier point, this is what you do with multiple G4s

Hopefully there will be another G4 opportunity for you. I never supported them, but I hear the dual proc ones are a bit temperamental? Also, hows that G3 B&W treating you?

Ah gotcha! Thought maybe he was a big Duke fan. The Graphite G4s are awesome machines. These were the last Macs for which I provided direct tech support, so extra special for me :)

@LaPorta thanks! Local eBay. They were a package deal, I really wanted the 400, so I can definitely be tempted to part with the 350 if anyone is looking for a G4. To quote Kosmo Kramer...interesting trades considered! And thx will check on iomega drivers :)

I don't think the Zip was original, it's a 250MB and according to everymac.com this G4 was only offered with a Zip 100. So quick updates. Both machines work The 400 actually came with 256MB of RAM, added another 128MB. 10GB hard drive works, has fresh 9.2.2 install. Zip drive didn't work at...

    ClassicGuyPhilly's Finds

Yeah, so this happened yesterday :ROFLMAO: Pair of G4 AGP's, a 350 on the left and 400 on the right. Both came with 10GB hard drives, the 400 with 64MB of RAM and a Zip 250. Both cases are in great shape. Cleanup and setup to follow.

    Got a Macintosh! Now What?

@3lectr1cPPC will attest that Josh and Phipli are always trying to get Americans to buy Pismos. As I said before, beware! 😜

    Got a Macintosh! Now What?

You alright, I learned it by watching you! For those non-US folks, or the younger set, this was a classic 1980's anti-drug PSA that was played over and over (and over) again on TV. I think we can safely substitute Vintage Macs for the drugs. And might as well get it over with...since...

    Got a Macintosh! Now What?

If you're looking at the SE as the beginning of a hobby, you might consider a later machine to use as a bridge box for the SE. A mid-90s PPC with a floppy, printer port, and RJ-45 Ethernet could be used to download software and transfer over to the SE. I have a PM 7500 for this purpose and use...

    Got a Macintosh! Now What?

Macquarium's were the big craze at the end of the 1990s/early 2000s when the Compacts were completely obsolete and held no significant monetary value. I can't imagine anyone making one today given even non- functioning Compacts are still considered collectible and worth a few bucks

Rescued what I thought was a Mac II

So been a while since there was anything to report on the IIfx's restoration. My friend's father is very skilled at soldering and is up for doing the recap and battery holder replacement on the IIfx. I've identified the following parts, looking for verification from our IIfx experts before I...
