FYI, this was with a linear straight curve from 100% to 0%.
If you look at the curve that @croissantking, it was an S curve. In my previous tests, cases where I see that S curve I do much better in terms of duration. Without the S (ie. a straight linear line down), I get a lot less. I don't...
LOL... argh. My "A" cell pack has zero errors. My "AA" cell pack has an error that is uncorrectable (Lind, EMMpathy). Given it charges ok, I'm just going to leave it for now. I don't feel like opening it again to replace the memory chip.
Just charged both batteries and ran Battery Amnesia. Came in at 141 minutes to drain both batteries. This is about 60 minutes shorter than what @croissantking got and I think less than what I previously got as well. But there was one difference... my 540c currently has a spinning hard disk in it...
Yeah, they are a hassle .. but I can’t let go of the portability :)
I also leave them in but check them every few weeks. I probably should leave them out but even then, I think the EMM still consumes energy so it’s still an issue.
I took apart my battery. Everything looks fine inside but the...
I check my laptops every few weeks to ensure the batteries haven't gone down to 0V. Found my 540c wouldn't boot last night. My Sanyo "A" pack was down to 0. But the pack was fine and it recharged and it's holding charge.
My "AA" pack however is not responding. It's not detected in either...
I had been under the impression that all the Duos share the same keyboard but given I have only played with a 280c, I cannot be sure of that. Maybe @3lectr1cPPC knows?
I didn’t like how if I caught the key at the wrong angle, it wouldn’t register a press which massively increased the amount of typos. And one of the keys just stopped working again even after using a conductivity pen on the trace.
Latest update for my PowerBook Duo 280c.
I'm not the first. @techknight demonstrated his earlier this year. I stumbled upon his video while working on mine.
Took a bit to get this to work, primarily because I made a small mistake on the first PCB and had to wait for the tariff situation to...
There's not much room... between a backing plate, the PCB, the lowest profile (and reasonably priced) switches, I'm already over by 5mm above the stock height. Lid still does close (it pushes the keys down a bit). I was going to shave off the stems from the stock caps and glue in 3d printed...
