Ah interesting.. Didn't realize they had another revision. Do you have a picture of the other side of the board? I'm curious what ADB controller it's using.
That fix seems half-decent.... Two primary buttons is still absurd, but at least there's no extraneous ADB signals
Why not give it...
The System Software Restoration Disc 1 available online was improperly imaged with an (old) copy of toast... the drivers didn't survive.
At the very least, uploading that one would be very helpful!
I haven't checked the other disc images yet. Some are good images from @MrFahrenheit, and some...
@RepairManiac Amazing! Thanks a bunch for the effort.
These will be fun to mess with... hell yeah.
Now all we need is a properly imaged collection of the regular System Software Restoration discs.
Recently, I encountered one of these Sanwa Supply 2-button ADB on an online marketplace.
I'd been looking for a nice 2-button ADB mouse for a while... so why not this one? It has a rather attractive look.
Yes, 2-button ADB mice do exist. The most common one is probably the NeXT ADB mouse...
you can build an adapter to use the floppy emu, no need to modify it.
i'd use that for testing first... it takes the unreliable floppies out of the equation
well, i'm questioning if it's actually "lithium ion".
a li-on battery would require custom circuitry to use on a macintosh portable... and i've never heard of a project like that.
if there is, I really want to know more
are you sure you're not referring to a LiFePO4 battery?
