A recap might get it working again. There's one hidden screw under the label, then you can put the brick into a vice and bust it open. Mine opened fairly cleanly.
Actually only sold a couple minutes ago (time zones), I checked the listing at 2:49 EST (it's 3:05 EST now) and it was still up. Sold in the next 5 minutes after that.

I finally rebuilt mine a few months ago, I get about 2.5 hours from it with moderate usage. This was using Tenergy 4/3A cells. Will have to see how it holds up in the long term.
It could be shot, you won’t know until you charge it with a 3400 or a G3 Kanga. Whatever the process is to get one working on a 5300, if such a thing exists, I don’t know right now.
