Ditto, nubbed batteries won't fit.
Tenergy seems to be the only place in the US that offers name-brand 4/3A cells (the rest are all generics). On their website, you can pick between cells with tabs pre-attatched, or cells without tabs. The one annoying thing is they've about doubled in price in...
I think that's happened to me once or twice - in those cases, they returned to normal once the IPA had fully evaporated. Either way, there's certainly no harm in replacing them. Where do you source replacements from?
Looks well-kept! Hopefully the screen will come back to life with some new capacitors.
Cap reference is available on my website: https://macdat.net/repair/cap_reference/apple/powerbook/160.html

This is great news! My Pismo has one snapped hinge and the other is very weak, so if you do end up bringing replacement hinges to market, I would definitely be a buyer!
One thing to consider is that the Clamshells are super expensive and the snow iBooks are not. The 500 and 600MHz ones should be a lot more reliable than the 700-900MHz ones because they have a way less hot-running video chip, and probably use leaded solder anyway since they're 01/02 instead of...
