SE anode cap: Inconsistent connection with inside of CRT?

Yeah intermittent HV is not something I've ever dealt with on a picture jug but at this point I would just try to swap in a different flyback if I couldn't figure out how to redo the connection on the anode cap. No, your red HV wire can't pick up interference. Kilovolts Don't Care

    Here? In a small town?

There is a 16 MHz 68030 CPU upgrade called the Performer. If you know how to solder you can build one or I can do it for a fee.

Radius Precision Color 8X-J 7 inch ROM Image

AM29F010 did not work because its pinout is different from the AT27C256. Any 32K x 8 ROM chip will work, as long as it meets or exceeds the original's speed rating and has the same pinout. Doesn't have to be an OTP ROM

SE with Performer 68030 accelerator slow booting

My accelerated Plus takes 80 seconds to boot System 7.1. 50 seconds with memory check skipped. The 68030 runs very slow when the driver isn't loaded, that's probably why boot times are longer.

Macintosh SE Superdrive (1.44) ROM flash service

For reference, here's a picture of an SE FDHD logic board (from oldcrap.org) When searching for an FDHD logic board be sure the SWIM/IWM chip matches up with this photo
